Historical Outline

The origins of today’s KOCKS CONSULT GMBH go back to 1946 when Dr.-Ing. Friedrich Kocks founded a company for “the provision of engineering and architectural services, the management of buildings of all kinds and the technical and economic auditing and consulting of commercial enterprises”. Initially the focus was on clearing and dismantling the war damage – salvaging the Rhine bridge near Koblenz was amongst the early tasks. From there KOCKS ENGINEERS concentrated on consulting engineering for infrastructure projects in the water, environment, transport and civil engineering sectors mostly in Germany. Following the foundation of the World Bank in 1952 KOCKS ENGINEERS were able to extend their engineering activities to projects in many developing countries.

Infrastructure projects have changed through time in focus, size and market volume and KOCKS ENGINEERS have flexibly adjusted to such market requirements throughout the years. KOCKS CONSULT GMBH in its present form was founded 1977 by Dipl.-Kfm. Jürgen Kocks and Dipl.-Ing. Klaus Betzinger. At the core of the company we still aim at providing clients with integrated engineering solutions and independent advice and support for their challenging infrastructure projects.
