Hydraulic model for new bridge construction

Construction of a new bridge “Bismarckstraße” over the River Aar in Diez. For the new construction cross-section, it had to be demonstrated that the new bridge cross-section would not lead to a deterioration of the hydraulic situation in the event of flooding.

Client
City of Diez
Services KOCKS ENGINEERS
Creation of a hydrodynamic-numerical stationary model for the hydraulic verification of the Aar for the new bridge construction; calculation of the water level positions for various discharge scenarios for the hundred-year flood (HQ100) – without bridge, with existing bridge and new replacement construction.
