Environmental impact study for the replacement of the Pfaffendorfer Bridge in Koblenz

Bilder 1 Images

Being a transport link between the road Friedrich-Ebert-Ring and the federal road B 42, the Pfaffendorfer Bridge is one of the central axes of Koblenz city traffic. It forms (alongside the bridge Südbrücke) the connection between the city centre on the left bank of the Rhine and the districts on the right bank of the Rhine and crosses the B 49 federal road. The bridge now requires a renovation. In accordance with the EIA Act, there is no fundamental obligation to carry out an EIA. However, due to the scope of the construction project, the developer has decided that an EIA should be carried out as part of the planning approval procedure. An environmental impact study was prepared as a specialist planning contribution to the determination, description and assessment of the environmental impact of the project.
