CO² reduction through construction of new district heating networks

Installation of a district heating network from the waste-to-energy plant in Nordweststadt to the combined heat and power plant in Niederrad to optimize the utilization and increase the efficiency of the power plants. The environmentally friendly process of combined heat and power generation increases the efficiency by up to 40 % compared to conventional power plants.
