Environmental Specialist
For our urban planning department in our headquarter in Koblenz, we are looking for an environmental specialist

Your tasks
- Preparation of feasibility studies in the infrastructure sector
- Assisting the team in preparing environmental permits
- Supporting the contracting and management of contractors performing Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA)
- Reviewing environmental documentation from construction and operational contractors
- Auditing project sites and contractors to ensure compliance with permits and environmental regulations, and addressing non-compliance issues (e. g., pollution, drainage) during both construction and operation
Your profile
- BA or M.Sc. or equivalent in environmental sciences, environmental management, geography or another relevant fields
- At least five years of professional experience on large scale infrastructure projects
- Experience in working on E&S Policies and Standards in similar development cooperation projects or programmes preferably funded by international financial institutions (IFI)
- Proficiency in the German and English languages
- Ability to work effectively as a member of a multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural team, influence and negotiate points of view within team
- Excellent analytic, organization, facilitation and reporting skills
- Excellent ability to plan and organise tasks orderly and autonomously,
- Travel willingness depending on the project location
