Design and implementation of a training centre in Adama including mechanical workshop, electrical workshop, laboratories and seminar rooms; training courses for the operating staff of 150 employees at 15 wastewater treatment plants with regard to basic knowledge, operational management for sewer system and wastewater treatment plant as well as operation and maintenance; training of local trainers.

Measures for climate change adapted urban development in Barisal (Bangladesh), Phase I

Raising the road level on a total of 2.8 km of inner-city roads, including construction of drainage channels, to facilitate the accessibility of important infrastructure facilities such as hospitals, administrative offices and the police even in the event of climate change induced flooding. Construction of a total of 22 km of new drainage channels and rehabilitation of existing retention volumes to reduce flooding.
